How will they enforce that?

Theyll enforce it through the fear of being future sued is how. I kind of get it tbh. I know its part and parcel of the game, but would you wish death and dementis on someone in the future for our enjoyment. Tricky one to get right.

Why do these do-gooders interfere?
Rugby players smash heads together, F1 drivers race at crazy speeds, cyclists descend mountains at an equally stupid rate and boxers punch each other around the head.
Nobody forces these sportsmen to take part. They do it because they love it!
Life is full of risks and men/women have always liked adventure and extreme sports.
Heading a glorified beach ball is not the same as the old leather balls of bygone years.
Nanny State in operation again!

For this ditto everything in this country. Far too much time wasted on PC rubbish, digging up the past and rights for everything. And all the important stuff, nothing. Football seems to have to bare the brunt of this for some bizzare reason, no idea why. People in other sports or walks of life don't have this ridiculous burden put on them. I'm really bored of it.
How many other sports have to put up with endless petty rule changes as well? FIFA/UEFA constantly messing with our game yet can't get any of the big decisions right because money is far more important to the corrupt bastards.
Also a lot of ex footballers can hardly walk because thier knees and ankles are wrecked. Should we ban kicking the ball and running as well?
That just leaves our arms and hands to move the balloon around and we can't use those because FIFA actually think we should remove them, lest they end up in an unnatural position.
And talking of balloons, give the people running our game one on a stick, they might be a operate that.

Blimey what was acceptable 150/100/50/10 years ago isnt necessarily ok or right today.

With the dedication of our brilliant medical profession things like this will always come to light and actions put in place to reduce the risk of injury or illness.

I think its a sensible measure, not heading a ball 24hrs before or after a game believe it or not isnt the end of the world and if it reduces the risk of a life limiting illness in later life especially if its a loved one, then so be it.

Alternatively, I tell you what, lets go back to the old leather balls, heavy with water and with stitching across them, yes thats the answer. I will raid my garage tonight, get my old footballs out, line my grandchildren up and get them to head it 100 times every night before bedtimes.

Your last sarcastic comment actually proves that the old leather balls were the most likely cause of damage to the health of some players of a bygone era.
However, the plastic beach balls of today are unlikely to be in the same category.
The snowflake narrative is permeating all walks of life and leisure these days to the detriment of free choice.
Let those who wish to participate in an activity of their choice make the personal decision as to how it may affect them as individuals.
Life would be pretty boring if we were all so frightened of putting one foot in front of the other for fear of what
MIGHT happen in 20 years time.

I actually agree with most of what you have said. Important thing for me is the article only refers to not heading a ball 24hrs before or after a game to reduce future risks (unknown with modern balls).

If it was on about banning heading completely yes that's a whole separate debate
