Just a little question - I expect older supporters will know the answer.
Two players were in the England team against Hungary, whose fathers both played for the Yeltz. Name them and their dads.

Oh I do like this quiz question, Ken!
I’m actually a little bit stumped. I’m going to answer half because I remember watching Mark Bellingham play for The Yeltz. But not sure on the other. Jarrod Bowen’s Dad, maybe?

I’ve shamefully been doing some googling so I think I have the answer now but it’s a very good quiz question and I have learned something new!

Mark Bellingham came to The Grove to be involved in the last 8 games of the 1995/96 season which ended with us pushing Rushden close for promotion. He only scored the one goal during that time but it was one of my more memorable ones. Down at Gravesend he ran half the length of the pitch to net in our 1-0 win and with 3 games then remaining kept us in that promotion chase. He returned for a similar spell at the end of the following season.
Sam Bowen scored 4 goals in the 2000/01 season including a couple in a 3-0 win over Salisbury
QUY CRISP FORD COMYN LLOYD W SKIDMORE* MASON XIOUROUPPA BOWEN** SMITH HINES SUTTON LLOYD P CRIEGHTON
and one in a 1-3 Boxing Day home defeat to Worcester who had Danny McDonnell and Andy Bradley in their team.
QUY CRISP FORD WOOD COMYN COLLINS CARTWRIGHT CORNES BOWEN* SMITH HINES SUTTON OWEN PAYNE

There were a handful of V's but Thom Vasilevic is a memorable one. Just the one start against Chelmsford but scored in the previous match against Dudley in Staffs Senior. He came off the bench to score in in a 1-3 home defeat
