Can we? Hmmm

Desperately trying to make a case for us going up automatically.
1st. Forget Chasetown. They're below us.
2nd. Our games. Daventry and Sutton today became mathematically safe from relegation, so nothing to play for. If Belper beat Carlton next week they will definitely be in the play offs so nothing to play for. Bedworth currently just off the bottom of the current form table, so crap.
So that's 12 points.
3rd. Ilkeston's games. They too have have Bedworth and Daventry, so see above. Bedworth is away though, but they're still crap.

Wisbech away, no comment

. But before that, Shepshed. Currently level with us in the current form table, going nicely, and Ilkeston only beat them 1-0 in the reverse fixture. So basically we're relying on Shepshed AND Bedworth.
4th Plague and pestilence in Ilkeston. Probably more likely.
Play offs it is then.
So that was utter bollocks and here's a picture of a penguin.

As you said on the match thread, we need to win all 4 games as otherwise we could end up in 4th place and facing Stamford away in the play offs. Ilkeston won't drop points. I know Shepshed beat us, but they really aren't very good.

Ilkeston have been very close to dropping points in recent games, and are only going to get more nervous before the end of the season.
I still think there will be a few twists in these last few weeks, and if we can win all our games and Ilkeston do drop any points before the last game, it'll be very interesting on that last Saturday

If that lot comes up you're on lottery duty

My favourite bit is Wisbech to win

We need Ilkeston to drop points in two of their last four games - really canβt see it happening given their run-in. The goal difference has definitely closed though and a big win against Bedworth might give us a glimmer.
Priority for us now is finishing second. Home advantage in the playoffs will be so important and with a big of momentum behind us we should be very dangerous.

I also think, with Sim and Bunn back, we have much more threat. Bunn in particular is, was and always be bloody class in the middle. I also think the pressures off a little, given that we can only rely on others. And I fancy in the play offs we'll properly turn up.

I'm only +1 GD away from this after one game.
Goal difference could be huge. And you begin to think back to Soham away, conceding that needless last min penalty. And us hitting the post last min yesterday.
Small inconsequential incidents that didn't matter at the time, but could prove massive in the grand scheme of things.
Will we end up regretting not putting 9 men Bedowrth to the sword?

Still think the 2 very late equalisers we conceded and the home defeat to Spalding are the results which really hurt us.
Credit though the way the lads have dug in since though
