Experience from when the world was in black and whites says that steady state running with broken ribs is not as bad as it sounds. If you go harder (and therefore have to expand the rib cage to breath deeper) it is somewhat different
Regardless, it is good to see that he is able to maintain fitness, although a return to playing matches probably needs to wait a few weeks
