Pictures of the Paulton ROvers game will be online in the nexy 15 minutes.

Check out the photos to see that the ref should of sent off the Paulton player and awarded a free kick instead of a yellow and a penalty.

Great pictures and thank you.

What number do you think supports your red card and free kick?

Where we were on the side one of my friends said he was not sure it was in the area. I can't see a two footed or dangerous challange and there were other defenders around so not last man.

No problem.

Its this picture, number 47

The foul is outside the area but momentum took Ben inside the area, so should of been a free kick and according to the laws it doesn't actually matter if there are other defenders around;

A player is sent off if he commits any of the following seven offences;

denying an obvious goal scoring opportunity to an opponent moving towards the player's goal by an offence punishable by a free kick or a penalty kick.

For me the Paulton defender denied a clear goal scoring opportunity, being booked indicated that the ref thought that the defender had committed one of the following;

unsporting behaviour, dissent by word or action, persistent infringement of the laws, delaying the restart of play, failure to respect the required distance when play is restarted, entering or reentering the field of play without permission, leaving the field without permission

them the laws but its all opinions really
