So be it. Let's just hope every one of us is still around, healthy and well, to be able to be there. Stay safe.

As the leagues have suggested that clubs may offer an alternative to another null and void season, here's a fun option. Combine the results from the two affected seasons, then apply a points-per-game calculation to make up to a full complement of matches. Doing this would result in the following outcome for the two Central leagues:

Tamworth
Royston Town
Peterborough Sports
Coalville Town
Bromsgrove Sporting
Needham Market
Rushall Olympic
Stourbr*dge
AFC Rushden & Diamonds
Kings Langley
Banbury United
Nuneaton Borough
Hednesford Town
Biggleswade Town
Barwell
Hitchin Town
Lowestoft Town
Stratford Town
St Ives Town
Leiston
Alvechurch
Redditch United

Berkhamsted
Halesowen Town
Corby Town
Welwyn Garden City
Aylesbury United
Bedworth United
Barton Rovers
Yaxley
Biggleswade
Bedford Town FC
Daventry Town
North Leigh
Thame United
Coleshill Town
AFC Dunstable
Kidlington
St Neots
Didcot Town
Kempston Rovers
Wantage Town

It could (surely!) still be possible for the teams in play off positions to play such games later this year, to complete promotion places. I know those negatively affected would probably never agree to this, but at least it would avoid the stagnation of the leagues for three consecutive seasons.

Ollie Bayliss reports the following:

No relegation but a legitimate approach to fill gaps within the higher levels of the non-league pyramid.

Interestingly our last game away at Dunstable faced a very late pitch inspection, if it would have been postponed we would have been top of the two seasons PPG league.

Good news coming out of DCMS that clubs step 3-6 will be receiving 10m in grants, if split equally we could be entitled to just shy of 12k. Hopefully a much welcome boost to help cover costs.

It seems that step 4 clubs can apply for upto 15k.

As may have been posted elsewhere. ;)

It looks that the answers have been more or less collected on who wants to do what regarding the rest of the season.

I’m not quite sure about the, “large amount of data and information to consider before determining a proposed way forward”.

There’s about 500 clubs who were asked one question with 4 answers. If they’d have done it for free on SurveyMonkey in the same way that primary schools manage, they’d have them immediately with pretty graphs and everything...

I expect the FA will announce the results by Easter.

2022.
