Another sad day
We have lost yet another member of the Yeltz family.
Vince Fahy passed away earlier this week, we have few details at the moment, there will of course be a minutes silence before kick off tomorrow.
Our thoughts & condolences go to his family.

Re: Another sad day
And I'm afraid it does not get better.
Steve Jones, who many will know form the Tory club (now the Townsend) passed away this morning.
Whilst Steve was not a Yeltzman he was instrumental in getting us the use of the Townsend when the Yeltz bar burnt down.
Along with his brother Paul from Craftcare he was always willing to put his hand in his pocket and sponsor a game in the good old days.
RIP Steve

Re: Another sad day
Sorry to hear that.
Was Vince the gentleman of senior years who used to stand in the shed, always had his blue wig (assume from the vase days). He lived up by Holly Bush?
Always telling me how he used to help maintain the stadium?
Rest in peace.

RIP Vince - a regular feature of our fun and games during the fondly remembered Stewart Hall days.

Re: Another sad day
Whilst I didn't know him as long as the vast majority on here, a couple of years ago I sat next to him on the back of the coach on a few away trips, we did a few quizzes and he told me about his love for sprouts! As Tiverton was quite a long journey I spent a few hours wondering whether I would need a gas mask! I am sure there are loads of you with memories. R.I.P Vince.
