New Fan
I moved to Halesowen just over 2 years ago and since I can't "casually" go down the wolves anymore decided to see if I could get my football fix down the Grove. I've done Stourbr*dge and Kidderminster friendlies and Bedworth today and I'm hooked. I don't know what I expected but the quality of football has impressed me greatly.

Welcome! You've certainly started coming at the right time! Some of us have been waiting 20 odd years since we've seen anything remotely like this. You'll never want to go down the 'tatters' again.SpongeDad wrote: ↑26 Aug 2019, 19:47I moved to Halesowen just over 2 years ago and since I can't "casually" go down the wolves anymore decided to see if I could get my football fix down the Grove. Thanks Guys.
There is certainly a good friendly vibe about the place, 5 minute walk. A pint while watching the game and great football. Can't ask for anymore than that
.... Wolverhampton who?

What a difference a year makes. Welcome to the club, and I hope to see many more new fans join in, as well as some old faces returning.
There's a real positive vibe about the place and it's fantastic to be a part of.

Most, if not all of us have a "big team" but all of the things you describe have tempted us down The Grove, often never to return to league football. Our golden era of the mid '80s coincided with a pretty rough time for local league sides and we were able to attract a lot of fans.
My debate with LLL is probably into its third decade now as to the polygamy of having more than one team (and he's recently taken more wives than the King of Swaziland) but as a lot of the usernames on here show, family loyalties and the billions spent by Sky have kept a lot of us with one eye on the Bedwetters - LLL; Olbyun - many; Wolves - Westy; even the Bluenoses - Andy and Johnny Bud.
And of course not forgetting HalesowenHarry's original club, Stourbr*dge Town.
