Just as a thought, would we be eligible to play in Division one South and would that make a difference travelwise?

I found this page which shows you the location of this season's clubs: https://www.evostikleaguesouthern.co.uk/ClubMap

By eye, it looks like it would further to travel in Division One South, but probably not a lot in it.

I guess there is also an outside chance we could get moved to the Northern Division One West - the furthest team South right now is Chasetown, so can't be totally ruled out (or is it just wishful thinking by me :D )

The predicted line ups seem to suggest that Sutton Coldfield will be moved to Northern Division One south/east (new boundaries for next season) bringing the border even nearer.

We're always going to be on the periphery of whichever league we're in so I guess it makes little difference. I still think I preferred the north to this division. When we were in the Southern Prem before it was enjoyable going to all the south coast sides but we don't even get that luxury now.

And it gets better, a seaside trip to Cleethorpes, although that has to be counterbalanced by Frickley.

But to the disappointment of some, no Corby in that league

Attendances will be dire in whichever league, particularly away, whilst at home, even the more local opponents can't be relied upon to boost the crowd.

Now predicted to stay back in Southern League following yesterdays matches. Seems to hinge on whether Ilkeston or Walsall Wood win Midland Football League. They are level on points but Ilkeston now have a better goal difference as they won 7-0 yesterday.
