Forget your Queen for we are Kings
At losing games and what it brings
Going down? Never fear
Might even do the same next year

I jest, we cannot do the same
Next year we'll surely up our game
The tide will turn, hopefully
Twelve months time, full of glee

That though is a future time
And may be worth another rhyme
For now though only desperation
Simply awful. Relegation.
Brilliant.

We shall have to add you to the list of greatest living poets.
It won’t be long before me and Westy are somewhere watching John Cooper Clarke and that fella with the upset stomach - Linton Queasy Johnson - and we see some bloke in a Calgari shirt on the stage.

I shall attempt a Luke Wright (not the cricketer) style Univocalism in response. Maybe.

We do of course have a great history of poems written about The Yeltz.
I believe that this one was written about former owners (and some current forumistas? 😉)

How wonderful would that be? I reckon even Ken would come along, not to see the great punk poet but to award me a FIFTH George.😂

Not heard of the aforementioned Luke Wright before. Spent last half hour listening. Genius.
I bet he can spell Cagliari as well. ;)

Splendid efforts by all.

Brother Avery's effort will be referred to the George Adjudication Committee as it was written under the influence of drink, a DNA test may be required.

Although I would suggest that most, if not all, of The Great Doctors finest works were written under similar
circumstances ;)

Both written and performed I would suggest!
In my defence though can Old Speckled Hen be recognised as a performance enhancer?

It certainly enhances the performances of the Yeltz, for the drinking spectator.
