Caught the latter part of this. Keith wasn’t on but there was a lot of common sense (and optimism) from DJ and Paul Essom. Big game tomorrow, positive thoughts needed!

Isn't it next Friday (8th)? Can't say for sure, but that's the impression I got from earlier in the thread?

KM is on next Friday. DJ & Paul Essom were on last night and you can hear it on playback.

Some really good points raised here regarding engagement with the local community.

I think it’d be great to engage local businesses and pubs. Not only to improve the awareness and standing of the club but also to improve the buzz around the club and unite the supporters. Not to mention if you’ve good quality beers and food on offer for matchdays, it would improve the whole experience.

The idea of the JGL being utilised a bit more is great too in my opinion, even just once a month hosting a race night or quiz. It would generate additional income for the club and give the fans something to look forward to and a chance to meet new fans you might not get chance to otherwise meet on matchdays.

There’s loads of great things the club could do to progress off the field which would help the spirit and hopefully the budget!

The Bar has Carling, Two types of Thatchers cider, IPA, Yeltz Ale, A fixed wheel guest Ale every home game.
You can't get any better quality.

Fixed wheel - Yeltz Ale and guest Ale brewed locally in long lane.

The Yeltz ale is a cracking pint. I've not had a bad one, which shows the ales are kept properly, unlike under a previous regime. My comments about using local pubs and the butchers, for drink / food wasn't meant as a criticism of current offering at the Grove.

I still believe organising a real ale and / or cider (I can't stand cider, by the way) festival in partnership with several of the good local ale pubs would go down well.

Better quality eh? You mean as good as the Yeltz bar? 😂

I vaguely remember a club night when I was 14. I won Mark Penn a bottle of vino if I remember right. I was in awe when he thanked me lol.

Back to the point a quiz night would be an excellent idea. Any function that raises money is a plus.

Very good listening to Keith tonight, things sounding positive just need to avoid relegation this season.. Somehow
