....and way back when
While the Yeltz legends for this century may prove short I suspect the 20th century will throw up loads. I couldn't resist starting this one, too many names whizzing round in my head. No rose tinted glasses here though, you can't throw John Rhodes in for 'losing it' at Ashtree or Ben Steane for being orange, these will have to have bona fide contenders. I'll throw in some obvious starters that need no explanations.
Paul Joinson
Lee Joinson
Malcolm Hazelwood
Geoff Moss
Danny McDonnell
Evran Wright
Sean Flynn

Would matt Lewis count purely on the basis that he managed to win player of the round in the FA Cup when we shocked Telford who were at the time I believe managed by our current management team. Also I go for Tim Clarke and Steve Pearce

Clarke and Piearce definitely.
Lewis would be in the later crop. Hmm.

Re: ....and way back when
How about Phil Wood; Kevin Harrison; Eric Smith (pre the change in back pass rule) and Paul Birch.
For all the wrong reasons there is one club legend that cannot be forgotten. The one and only legend in his own lunchtime.... Catalogue Man... Paul Harding

Snapper
Penner
Andy Bradley
Honourable mentions to Andy Pearce and Stuart Cash for what they went on to achieve, and some massive cults - Massey, Leroy, Silvo, Marshey, Pancho, Jason Owen and a billion others.
I'm sure I often heard John Chambers and a few other managers and suits referred to as a "massive cults" but it was quite noisy at the time...

The other 4, all in. No question. Forgotten about Phil Wood, great defender and loved it here.
Paul Birch, probably the finest quality we've EVER seen?

3 great shouts, and I would include Andy Pearce. Not here for a massive amount of time but was a centre half we're unlikely to see the like of again. Gave his all.

I think there are as you say a lot in this bracket, but none that you mention there really have the 'stature' to make the list apart from Richard Massey. And he did have stature......
