Love the quiz question but a bit before my time I think. Was it Lee Joinson’s last game for the club? I remember Paul played on for a bit longer so bit of a stab in the dark.

And a vain attempt to join in Westy and Andy’s punk / post-punk game...

Indeed.
The band that Simon Blackwell and Paul Wright were in before the mighty HMHB.

(It's pretty awful if I'm honest...).

Just looked up Lee's playing career. It wasn't that.
I'm stumped.

Whilst looking in the archives section for Lee's info I noted that Mark Penn finished in 1964 and Geoff Moss in 1972.😂

Christ alive don't say that. I'm absolutely sure they play a wonderful quick tempo passing game with a Messi type finisher. Don't burst my bubble just yet......

Rob Smith made 7 starting appearances as a Yeltz player in seasons 1989-90 and 1990-91, scoring 1 goal. (stay with this for a quiz question at the end). His full playing record is as follows:

1989-90: 2 Cup appearances

23th Jan 1990: Westgate Insurance Cup: Halesowen Town 1 Redditch United 1, attendance 1017. (No.9 shirt)
30th Jan 1990: Westgate Insurance Cup: Redditch United 1 Halesowen Town 0, attendance 415. (No.6 shirt)

Rob was also named as substitute on 7 occasions, the first one being on Tuesday 10th October against Hednesford Town at home (1-1, attendance 883)

1990-91: 2 League appearances; 3 Cup appearances; 1 goal

Rob’s goal came in the 3-0 win at Alvechurch on 31st October.

4th Sept 1990: FLC: Halesowen Town 3 Rushden Town 0, attendance 858. (No.9 shirt)
8th Sept 1990: Southern League Premier: Halesowen Town 1 Wealdstone 0, attendance 1380. (No.9 shirt)
12th Sept 1990: Southern League Premier: Atherstone Utd 2 Halesowen Town 0, attendance 738. (No.9 shirt)
2nd Oct 1990: Worcs. Senior Cup: Halesowen Town 2 Alvechurch 0, attendance 642. (No.8 shirt)
31st Oct 1990: Larchimage Windows Cup: Alvechurch 0 Halesowen Town 3, attendance 372. (No.8 shirt)

Rob was also named as substitute on 8 occasions, the last one being on Monday 12th November against Walsall at home in the Birmingham Senior Cup (1-2, attendance 826).

Oh, and that Quiz of the Day:

Rob scored his only goal in the 3-0 win at Alvechurch on 31/10/1990. But what else was notable for the Yeltz in that game??
No idea of the quiz question answer but just look at those attendances! 1017 for a League Cup game :o
Them's were the days.

Definitely punk. None of yer post-punk nonsense. One third of the Holy Trinity of Punk we're talkin' about here.
