I know it says as a replacement, but just wondered if the club afford it in the light of recent developments

I can’t see this last too long. Sneekes likes to coach football and a passing game.

There’s wasn’t much of his flamboyance on display when we played them a few weeks ago.

But this is a good appointment IMHO- we have a coach now amongst our set up who knows this league and, crucially, knows Sutton’s set up. Given our main battle is to stay above Sutton in the league, it’s a crafty move.

I feel fairly assured that the funds being raised are separate and towards the possible acquisition so, to answer Juanillo, I don’t think this has been “enabled” by the fundraising. Probably just a vacancy from Hyde’s departure.

I do think it’s a great appointment. But it all depends how much say Sneekes has.

Is he there to coach players every Thursday. Or will he be consulted and listened to on tactics and selections. I hope it’s the latter and not the former.

It may or may not prove to be a good appointment, I don't know. All I do know is he has been got rid of by the only team worse than us at this level. Still, I wish him the best of luck in helping to improve our current dire position. Some fresh ideas will be useful. Welcome.

Seems a very strange move to me by Mr Hill . Sneeks is a manager so would think he wants to get back into managing and maybe he feel this is a great opportunity for him to do that here, he has already got one foot in the door, opinions?

What’s the situation at Sutton? Have they got less money than us? I thought they’d have a larger budget than most due to 3G. They’ve been struggling for a number of seasons now.

I wonder if Sneekes can bring in a better quality of player, given his stature as a cult hero down the Albion - possibly a reason for the appointment from the Yeltz camp?

From Sneekes’ view. I struggle to see the attraction. Possibly foot in the door. Maybe something to do with the academy. Maybe he didn’t have the time commitment / want to manage but wants to coach?

I’m intrigued to see how this plays out.
