I can't quite believe this achievement but.....

......if Roger and Dave make tomorrow's game at Rushall it will be 25 not out. For anyone still not aware of their achievement it will mark TWENTY FIVE YEARS of not missing a game ANYWHERE since Atherstone away in the BSC on the 10th November 1992 (I remember it well Rog

). It really is quite an extraordinary feat that we will never see the like of again. In fact is there anybody anywhere supporting any team can match this? To not once in all that time wake up in the morning and think I just can't make it today, to not once make something else a priority is incredible. The amount of 400ish mile round trips over the years is many, yet none daunted them. Greta, Dover, Truro, Workington, Blyth, Newport, Felixstowe, Kings Lynn, Weymouth should just about cover every point on the compass, and just about every area in between has been visited also. The amount of miles and hours spent must be staggering. A massive, massive well done to both of you!!
The next 25 awaits.......

They've not missed a game since I was four. Incredible.

Now I could be a bit mischievous here and enquire how everyone felt about them breaking the boycott a few years back... but that would be churlish.
Congratulations Roger and Dave. Rivals, maybe, but great blokes and always good to enjoy a chat when our paths cross. Here's to the next 25!

Of such "stuff" are true fans made.
Congratulations, Roger and Dave, on your "Silver Anniversary!"
....and well done Andy on bringing this to our attention.

Fair dos. I'd say that's permissible given the circumstances.

And a big well done from me too!
Not sure if this loyalty follows through to the cricket season, but both Rog and Dave are fans of West Bromwich Dartmouth in the Birmingham League (for whom Roger used to play). I wonder how many years of following them they've racked up?
I hope there was plenty of celebratory cake in evidence at Rushall yesterday? Again, well done chaps.
Have a George. One each - sod the expense!
