twitter ye not

As a bit of a luddite when it comes to social media I genuinely had no idea the sort of things that were posted on there by people connected to the club. I had been TOLD many things, but had SEEN little. Last night I was shown many messages posted on twitter by club representatives and simply could not believe it. The language and animosity shown on there was appalling. I can see why many of our fans have been at loggerheads with so called representatives now. To see how low we have sunk was depressing. If this is the world we now live in heaven help us. You know who you are, hang your heads in shame. Sad and pathetic. I'd rather go back to the 'bad old days' when you'd get your arses kicked.

I've been watching it the past two years Andy, and you trawl hard enough there's far worse stuff written by many many supporters. That's not me saying it's right either side of the fence. But you have to put it into perspective. Interestingly this could all be nipped in the bud with a decent owner, but as the other topic suggests, that is largely out of our control. Every club has them I suppose, I bet Stourbr*dge has loads more than us

It's all very well saying that Harry but you are defending the indefensible. I personally never use foul language and I hate other people using it. But to pretend that the behaviour of club representatives can be justified by the language of so called fans doesn't work. They want to be representatives of the club and should act accordingly. Their comments demean the Yeltz. I have seen things in social media posted by people who mention Halesowen Town in their user profiles and I have been disgusted. I am glad Andy has been brave enough to say something. Think what would happen if a foul mouthed rant by a Villa fan was answered in similar language by Dr. Tony Xia... It doesn't and should never happen. No excuses please.

If I was to speak to or about customers at work the way in which some club officials have spoken to or about fans, I would be sacked.
Some people need to realise they are representing the club in an official capacity now, and they need to act accordingly.

Andy, Josh and Fenelon, I totally agree with everything you have all said. Any abuse, whether from fans or officials is totally wrong. But as Fenelon says, if those in official positions want their roles, they should act accordingly.
If the social media postings occurred before they became officials, they should not have been considered for the roles in the first place. And if their posts occurred after they became officials, they should be removed from their positions immediately.
As Fenelon says, no excuses.
For me, even if you include JH inept management, this is the biggest problem at the club at the moment.

It makes me well pleased that we have responsible moderators on here, because if that is some of the kind of stuff they have to weed out I don't envy them. People that hide behind keyboards for any of that kind of thing are the low of the low. As I said previously if this is the way the modern society interacts now you can keep it. Bring back the days when things were sorted face to face in whatever way necessary and then be hopefully forgotten about.

Any chance of sharing the links to the Twitter sites by PM please?
