I'm aware that this doesn't actually mean anything, it's just a wrist slap to get your accounts in, but given our reputation in the recent and recentish past it's not brilliant.

I'm generally with HH, and I can see lots of positives in the new Chairman and set up - the work being undertaken at The Grove, great new sponsorship deal and so forth but I suspect a lot of people keep an eye on our corporate side given the history and this sort of thing doesn't help.

It was the same last year. Wasn't late accounts the reason why Ilkeston couldn't play their first few games last season?

I'm sure it's an admin oversight, but why are we so late to produce accounts? It's not a one off now, either. And when we do produce the accounts, they're a little vague / thin on info, too.

Interesting to note that the company responsible for the James Grove bar now has a notice for compulsory strike-off.

Also, the accounts for the club (separate company)are now available. Can anyone else spot the interesting omission in the accounts...

There's a number of interesting items in there, not least the sudden asset value of £999136 and the disappearance of £85000 of loans to former stakeholders. I also noted the names of the accountants (maybe coincidental). I'll leave others to have a look and draw their own conclusions
