Yeltzland app notifications just got slightly better
If you're using the "Match Day Tweets" notifications in the Yeltzland apps, you may have noticed a small improvement I've made for the new season.
Basically, you only get the mildly irritating whistle sound when I think a goal has been scored, not on every tweet.
I think this is a lot better, and the goal detection seems pretty reliable (thanks to the tweets always being in the same style). It has worked OK for the 3 (and hopefully counting) goals so far this afternoon.
I'm always open for new suggestions for the apps, so let me know if you have any

Hey Poll. The app is excellent, thank you for your efforts on this. I have to agree that the whistle removal (or adjustment) is a good one. It was quite nifty when you're not at the game and trying to keep up with the score, but when you're in The Shed and there's dozens of phones whistling at the same time......
Just to give you my honest feedback (and to start a 50-page thread) may I suggest having the club's logo as the app icon? Think it would look good but understand you might need club's permission, etc.

Yeltzland (the website and the app) will always be unofficial, so it doesn't seem right somehow to use the club badge as the logo, just in case there is any confusion.
I'm sure the club don't mind - they've always been supportive and in fact promote the app on the club website - but I prefer to keep things as they are and stick with my badly designed logo for now

Oh the app logo is much worse than my attempt at a club badge (which isn’t that good either!)

Andy, I've just installed it on my ragbone - if I can do it then you can also.

It seems I have to register with google somethingorother. Million questions and even then I don't know whether it will work on a windows phone. The official site doesn't work either. Press menu and its off the side of the screen somewhere. So if that's one of the things included in the app then I guess it wont work there either.lutleyyeltz wrote: ↑26 Jul 2017, 14:36Andy, I've just installed it on my ragbone - if I can do it then you can also.
