Anyone been?

The new sponsorship deal looks good - unsurprisingly no details on the amounts but it looks like they're a company with a history of investing in football, so that has to be a good sign.

I couldnt make it but would be grateful if anyone could give a few headlines? I personally would be interested to know:

- What's the deal with Steve, Karen, and the club's ownership? Does she have actual control or is she in more of a DUP role?

- What's the season's expectations and how are we looking to achieve them?

- Any signings on the horizon? What are we looking for and where?

Would imagine that they are the burning matters ATM?

I went and can answer all of those as I interpreted what was said.
In answer to the first question. Karen Brooks assured everybody that she had received assurances that she is in control and can run the club day-to-day as she sees fit to that end she is sorting out the financial situation of the club and has opened a new bank account to be sure of income and expenditure and looking at what the club needs et cetera. She also said that she's written to the FA to find out whether the club is likely to face any further charges by association as she put it.
Expectations were not really gone into specifically but John Hill praised the work of Graham Hyde in sorting out the preseason training and somebody by the name of Brown I can't remember his first name has been bought in to look after the fitness of the players. John Hill also expressed the wish to organise an open training version for fans to attend. John Hill then listed a number of players who we've signed most of whom we were aware of and said they were speaking to a number of targets and looking at trialists et cetera there is apparently going to be a young 16-year-old playing for us on Tuesday who they are excited about and who is interesting number of academies and clubs.
Specific targets for signings were obviously not gone into.
On the matter of the pitch Karen Brooks has managed to get the services of Ian Hipkins on board in an advisory capacity and he is recommending various bits of equipment and seed et cetera I think they said more seed was being delivered next week.
A brief comment on the new sponsors it is a two-year deal and they are apparently very keen to invest long-term.
There was something said in relation to the turnstiles but I can't quite remember what. The new kit was also unveiled. That is briefly what happened if anybody else who attended remembers any more I'm sure they will mention it.

All seems positive, cheers Chris. Shame I still wont be buying a new kit or 2 though.

Nice one, Wheels. Particularly on the Karen point it sounds very reassuring.

Can imagine this will be a strange season- changes in the boardroom, the restructure of the league, new pitch- so just hoping we get a good start and some early momentum.

Also there was sustained applause when the return of Gavin Blackwell was mentioned.
