The appeal has now been heard, and was unsuccessful.
The club statement is as below -

"HALESOWEN TOWN FOOTBALL CLUB can confirm that Steve Lynch has attended an appeal hearing with the FA on Monday 19 June 2017 and this appeal has been unsuccessful.
Therefore, this means that the two-year ban from all football and football activity will be enforced with effect from 1 July 2017 to 1 July 2019.
The Chairman, Karen Brookes will take overall responsibility for the day to day operations at the Club supported by the Committee and very able volunteers."

Slight change to the statement -

"CLUB STATEMENT
HALESOWEN TOWN FOOTBALL CLUB can confirm that Steve Lynch has attended an appeal hearing with the FA on Monday 19 June 2017 and this appeal has been unsuccessful.
Therefore, this means that Steve has received a suspension from football activities which means he cannot continue as an officer for the club for 2 years from July 1st 2017.
The Chairman, Karen Brookes will take overall responsibility for the day to day operations at the Club supported by the Committee and very able volunteers."

Difficult to read the syntax of the change. Is it distancing the club more from Steve, or leaving the door open?

I suspect that the key question for the forum with the new Chairman will be around what Steve's long term involvement with the club will be.

Does this mean Steve has to remove his name from everything to do with the club, and in effect 'sell' it on?

Anyone know how this ban works if for example, Steve's wife becomes owner?

She's already registered as the owner, or maybe his daughter.

So, it could mean that Steve stays in the background for 2 years, having no association with the club, on paper at least. Or it could mean that he'll decide to sell up and move on. Hence the interest in clarifying it at the forum.

His quote at the original hearing was along the lines of the club being "family owned" so that would suggest the former, but we've no real info to go on.

At Companies House the termination of SL as a director is confirmed on 20/6/2017 when also Karen Brookes is appointed.
Accounts to 30/8/2016 are overdue

As per the below link,

https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/07012137

Director - Appears to be only Karen Brookes now.

According to the last Annual Return owners,

Tammy Lynch - 900,000 Shares
Steve Lynch - 99,999 Shares
Mike Burke - 1 Share

Does the confirmation statement dated 17/5/2017 change that? Or does it just confirm Tammy's significant control/share allocation?
