Fantasy Island showdown

Post by Poll » 21 Apr 2017, 10:43

In easily the most exciting thing about tomorrow's game, 4 people are still in with a chance of winning Fantasy Island:

Top of the league looks like this:

Code: Select all

Position	Contestant	Points
1 Ginger Dynamo	213
2 Dave Johnson	211
= Juanillo 211
4 andy 204
The trouble is (especially for Andy), it seems very unlikely that we will ever score again, which makes one half of the prediction pretty easy :o

I’m a bag of nerves……it’s going to be a sleepless night tonight! If only I hadn’t predicted that we’d beat them lot up the road 12-0 things could have been a tad more comfortable!

I have a cunning plan.
I think some all or nothing tactical predicting is required. Nobody is mad enough to predict we'll score. Nobody is mad enough to predict we'll win. Nobody is sure if Rushall will score though. So, on that basis when it finishes 4-3 to us I'll get 10 points and nobody else will score anything.
Baldrick eat your heart out.

I reckon you've put 0-0, gambling that nobody will go for the obvious.

I've changed my score twice already trying to second guess everyone else's prediction.

Good luck all. Two golden Fantasy Island rules: 1) Never ever change your mind. 2) Never comment before a big game - unless it's about Andy bottling it again by chucking away his 20+ point lead at Xmas.

Nice to see a bit of light-hearted p**s taking on hear for a change after all recent doom and gloom.

For what it's worth, my money is on DJ to claim the greatest prize in Non-League Football, the highly coveted 'Golden Nowt' trophy.

The excitement is killing me ;D

Just to ratchet up the excitement another notch, I'll put the contender's predictions on here after kickoff.

And Westy is correct, once again the prize is the honour of winning - unless anyone finds the last winners T-shirt I lost at Atherstone many years ago.

20 points, flippin' 'eck. I only needed to enter a row of zeros since then and I'd have cruised home.
