I don't think so it was Skelmersdale who had a new manager. It occurred to me when I read that maybe the guy that wrote it was told about Skelmersdale's new manager and that we had a new head coach hence the confusion also whether Graham Hyde was getting excitable at the end which he may have been it could maybe have added to the confusion.

It always confuses me when a man of the match (star man in this case) is named from the losing side!
I take this as yet more poor journalism.

I think what happens is whoever home side is has a person who writes report for the NLP it's also because of cost cutting with different journalists working for several publications I think.

Brian Moore gave a French player the MOTM in a losing team why should pundits and jouralist always
pick a player from the Winners.

Some years ago when we were struggling financially a group of players were assembled none of whom were good enough really for the level but they all gave one hundred percent for 90 minutes and although we lost nearly every game it could be argued that some of them put in man of the match performances purely based on effort alone

That situation seems to have been ever present, to my mind!
