Old and New

Morning,

Increasingly when I look on the forum these days I see the words of the subject matter used more and more, especially on the Matchday threads.

I presume that with the length of time and the way I stumbled into the club that I'm perceived as a newbie.

One thing that does concern me is the divide that there seems to be between the two, for want of a better word, factions.

This situation isn't healthy at all, and although as football fans we are the most fickle people in the world and you are never going to please everyone all the time I think its time that all this back biting stopped.

To that end I'd like to know what we can do to stop this divide that seems to be causing unrest.

I assume that at the end of the day we all want what's for the best of the club so whether you are a volunteer (there's no such thing as a commitee) or fan so what can we do?

answers on a postcard.....

Look forward to sensible responses here. This is something we (as a fan base) can work together on.

Personally I'm a great believer in positivity. If we, as fans, feel positive about the club that then transfers onto the pitch.

And without sounding like a broken record (which I probably already am) this is what them lot down the road do well. They seem to be as one. Everyone reads off the same sheet.

I just want one thing. A successful Halesowen Town.

Something as small as gathering behind the goal to actually help create an atmosphere and back our team may make the difference.

Or behind the dugout if you're Rob! ;)

Having the fan base scattered, particularly at away games, just creates a physical 'fraction'. Even if that's not the intention.

Ultimately I think classing people as old or new is the issue in itself.

Does it matter whether the last match was your first or your thousandth? You're a Yeltz fan. That's what matters.

Nor does it matter whether you attend one game a year or attend every game. You're a Yeltz fan.

This classification needs to stop.
