50 seasons ago we braved going to The Hawthorns ( :-) ) to see Skem in their FA Amateur Cup Semi-final. They played Hendon who at that time were our opponents on the sole occasion when we'd reached FA Cup Round 1. We enjoyed Skem's victory so much that we decided to follow them down to Wembley for the Final against Enfield.
Bad decision, it was an awful 0-0 after extra time which included a late missed penalty. Still, I guess that's now a collectors' item. The Vase & Trophy soon came along.
