The Phys

Surprised there has been no mention of the news today about Rob Woodbine leaving his post of physio with the club. Whilst understandably Rob has been a popular character with the players and management he's always been someone who is happy to chat to the fans before or after the game. People often talk about the players showing loyalty but Rob has been with the club for 9 years. I never realised until recently just how much time it takes to be physio, he's often at the ground before the players on training evenings to prepare and then give treatment or massages to players and then treatment after the game. I've also enjoyed reading his thoughts on here as well as in the match programme.
Best of luck for the future Rob, and I look forward to seeing you on the terraces soon.

The Phys will be sadly missed. You can tell that he's an extremely popular figure at the club and held in high regard by the players. He also has come on here from time to time to give insight and wisdom based on his knowledge from behind the scenes. And, let's not forget, he's been first on the scene on some pretty grim injuries throughout the years (I'm wryly amused that the "vacancy" photo is a picture of him trying to wake up a KO'd opposition player whilst Platty is counting his teeth- looks like a fun job, doesn't it!). I hope that the dugout's loss is the terraces' gain.

Yes a BIG thanks to Rob, 9 years service.

Again only in recent months have I seen what he does before a game. Also he has helped when fans have had accidents or falls off the pitch.

Top bloke will be missed on the pitch. Glad to hear will be visible on the terraces.
