Boycott

Personally I shall not be buying anything with our new building with party hat on it. I understand others may not wish to engage in this, but I feel it may be good for people to voice their disapproval in this way. If loss of revenue is on the cards maybe somebody will reverse this crazy idea.

Me too.

Maybe the whole thing is a cunning plan my Lord, to clear out old stock in the club shop?

That's it! Nailed it!

I can assure you it isn't.

As for a boycott of buying things from the shop I find that disappointing. At a time when the club is starting to finally move forwards this won't help. I do understand the feeling of people and as I've stated previously I've a big interest in the clubs history.. So much so, the new programme shed we're currently building will have a Yeltz Memorabilia section where fans can come and see/buy historical Yeltz merchandise.
Can a better protest be sought than harming the club we ALL love, whether they like the new crest or not?

Possibly Rob. I feel though the only consideration been put forward for changing the crest is financial reward. Therefore the best way to get this changed is to hit the very reason for it. I know you were disappointed when I spoke to you today that I would not renew my season ticket but I feel very passionately about this and feel the people in charge will not respond to any other action. It goes against everything that you and your fellow volunteers are currently trying to achieve and in that respect I am sorry, you are doing a great job, but I will not back down on this. I hope many others won't also.

It is not currently my intention to boycott and I suppose it may be too late for the club to do anything about it for the season. So I don't plan on boycotting , however, were the club to insist that they were going to keep the Newcrest and there appeared to be no prospect of review of the issue, then I may revisit my position.

I would happily buy branded toilet paper with it on.
