So, this certainly won't end in a row...

To follow up from Juanillo's comments, below, where is the grimmest?

I agree the conditions were awful which never helps, but Rushall certainly isn't the grimmest place in non league by a long chalk.
I'll open with Skelmersdale. Miles from anywhere, no pubs closeby, public transport was challenging to say the least and generally, shall we say, "careworn".

Any others?

Corby - for the simple reason that it's in Corby!

Without doubt - Goole.

Notable mention to Ashton, too.

I liked Goole, funny ground with a running track admittedly, but a nice traditional stand, cover on the other side too, down traditional terraced streets with a couple of pubs nearby.

And some stunning erections on display.

Not keen on Skelmersdale, although the club house is decent. Goole wasn't nice at all. The area around Ashton United was like Benefits Street. Curzon Ashton have nice folk and the ground is quality but not found a decent pub in Ashton yet - had to put up with Spoons...

If I had to pick a winner I'd probably go with Goole

Always seems to grey and dismal when we go to Banbury.

Grantham is devoid of atmosphere. There old ground in London Rd was ok but now it's the one I least look forward to in our league.

Racing Club Warwick - the highlight was a dog running on the pitch during the match. All my mates take the piss out of me for non league footy with the jumpers for goalposts joke, but it really was like that.

Dunstable Town - now that was unbelievable. It made the description shithole sound like a palace

500 odd away games I've been to, I'm sure there's more or less worthy of crappest away ground ever. I'll have a look through my records......

Rothwell, pronounced Rowell, Pitch terrible, cannot recall any cover and salmonella Sam on the beefburger van.
