The Pitch

Interesting comment from Gary Hackett in this weeks News
“It was difficult because of the pitch and I think that made for a tricky afternoon.
“I think clubs at our level have a responsibility to prepare better pitches than that. That aside, it was good to have that bit of quality to get the victory.”

Give us 150k from a decent FA Cup run or three and then we'll have a pitch like Wembley you feckin' smarmy nosed barsteward who's team plays on a 2 sided shitehole........ should be our well thought out response

Great comment though!

The pitch was perfectly playable and their 'extra quality' saw them through the game so what is his problem? I personally I think clubs at that level should also have a ground were you don't operate a one way system with folks walking across a muddy field like we had to last year on boxing day. Don't suppose that matters though does it?
Hackett wasn't quite so smarmy last year when they all wanted him gone. Big of him to pipe up after a win. Tosser.
The pitch isn't great, I agree, it is better though and steps have been made to make it better this season. It takes time for a pitch to establish itself and will be better for less games being played on it.

Hackett is joining the "big-time Charlie" brigade.
A good result and he's the top dog. To quote Rob with a bit of extra disdain - a complete tosser!

Rob, we're all so bored with your constant whinging about getting mud on your brand new Gola's, a few of us reckon you should ask Stour for a new pair, in fact, we will probably upgrade them to a nice pair Matalan own brand. After all, it's not like we can't afford it with the winnings so far from yet another magical cup run

So, after another historic FA CUP win for yourselves you take the time to comment on a Halesowen forum. Glad we mean so much to you. For the record, I'm happy to purchase my own footwear thank you but it is kind of the 'few of you' to offer Stour's support. For boxing day this year though I'll be wearing my walking boots in preparation for my trip to your 3 sided trek around the field. Matalan own brand?? - not quite.

My work here is done.....tooooooo easy.....
Is our ground 3-sided then? Only, it's rarely mentioned on here amongst the veritable feast of gags on offer.
