Game v Darlington

What do people think of the half price offer for league season ticket holders for entry to the Darlington game Saturday?
I think it is a good incentive for people who don't normally get a chance to go due to supporting league teams.
However would it not also be nice for the more regular people who usually attend Halesowen to also get in half price?
Give it half price to everyone and good chance a few more people may attend.

I hope we play a lot better than of late. If I was a 'floating' fan I saw the utter rubbish we've been playing this season I would not be incentivised to return. Not even for £5.
I think it's a good offer and credit to the club for trying to get more people through the gates. I think it's a brilliant idea. I just hope we put a show on, on the field. In recent history, when the spot light has been on and we've got a good following we simply haven't won over those people.
Workington at home, non league day last year, for example.
As someone who has already put their money upfront with a season ticket I don't care what the club do with the reduction of prices - as long as it doesn't get silly.
I welcome this kind of move.

I think it's a fantastic incentive and a good chance of boosting the attendance for what promises to be a big game.
From a personal viewpoint I'm a little bit gutted as a Villa season holder I would qualify of being able to get reduced entry for the game however I also have a 'flexi' season ticket down the Grove this season!
Never mind, you can't have it both ways I guess!

Any reduction in ticket prices is good. However, why is it only applying to people who have a season ticket with a league club? Whoever thought that one up hasn't thought it through very well because those are the people who will be at the Villa, Albion etc when they are playing. Yes when those teams are away from home you might attract those fans to come along, but it's the people without a season ticket anywhere that need to be encouraged to come. Just because one or two on here no longer like higher league football doesn't mean that you are going to suddenly find loads of fans who feel the same. You want to encourage people who aren't committed to those league clubs and are free every week. It should be half price for EVERYBODY on Saturday
It looks good, and makes it look like the club are doing something but the league season ticket bit is absolutely senseless
Take my Mom for example, she doesn't have a league ticket, but she would go on Saturday for £5. Where is her encouragement to go? She would go to loads of games, like she went to Sutton on Monday, but there is no incentive to go to the Grove for £10 on Saturday. If anything, it's more of a kick in the teeth that she isn't entitled to a discount when people who have never been are
As I said last week, the marketing skills being demonstrated at the club are pretty poor. It didn't need the trying to be clever league tickets bit......

Whilst welcoming any attempt to increase the gate, I agree that it needed a little more thought viz a viz the previous post.

Pretty much my thoughts - don't really get the reasoning behind it and benefits to the club.

Totally agree with Yeltz27 above should be for everyone, will the Villa or Albion offer me half price admission if i show my Halesowen season ticket bit unfair i think.
I am all for getting more people in but it has to be fair for everyone

I have to say that any attempt to get new fans is great. This may not be the best way as others have said, but even if its for one visit only its cash in the coffers. That said its all well and good enticing newbies, but my main concern though would be how to keep the fans we ALREADY have.

Yes I agree about your general point about fans we already have. But don't forget, this might antagonise those fans we already have who don't have Yeltz or league season tickets. So on top of the dreadful football, a terrible marketing idea might mean you lose a few before Saturday

What's the relevance of that? The club don't want you to be enticed to the V***a or Albion, do they.
