Jay Denny

Post by piearce9 » 20 Jul 2015, 20:45

So the mystery signing is none other than Mr USA, Jay Denny.

For those Yeltz fans that haven't seen Jay play, he's a great acquisition. A centre midfielder with graft and tenacity, but has got quality too. Will suit JH down to the ground.

Welcome back Jay.

Yes a good player in a good side in his previous spell. Could be good news for getting the ball down too.

'Matt was instrumental in getting Jay to Halesowen and we are excited to have him in a Yeltz shirt once again.'

I find this quote to be of great excitement. Exactly what I expected when John asked Trevor to leave and appoint Matt.

I agree - a fit and firing JD should give us considerably more that Tonkshinio; and Parsons-Smith looks to have something in his locker that will help fill the large hole left by Kris Green.

My guess (and it is a guess, having seen nothing but the highlights so far) is that we need at least one of the new centre halves to come off and the selection of forwards to form a decent partnership (good news that Daniels is still in the mix).

From an operational point of view, I don't expect that Jay has come back entirely because of his links with Matty Clarke and he won't be playing for buttons, so it suggests that there's some money in the pot, despite Mike's acrimonious departure.
