I would like to thank ALL the players, management team, backroom staff, anyone involved with the games home and away and all the Yeltz fans.

Sorry to upset a few but we have had a fantastic season. Ask Belper where they would rather be?

Yes there is room for improvement. Are any of you perfect?

We have moved up a league, finished 11th yes 11th and above Stourbr*dge.

We have one of the best defensive teams in the league.

So proud to be a Yeltzman.

These are the posts. The over the top ones.

Defence has been good yes generally, but we have also scored the joint fewest goals in the league this season. You didn't point that out.

And this pointless stuff about Stourbr*dge. Who cares? They were rubbish so what's so amazing about that?

And to some Yeltz27 your posts are way over the top too, so it works both ways, you are having a pop at a few who are apparently criticising your posts. Pot Kettle. Black.

But where have my posts been over the top exactly? Most of the time I am defending myself against the insults that are thrown at me. All I put yesterday was that we were poor in the game, that the last 16 games had been poor and that changes needed to be made in the summer. What is so over the top about that? And then Bbnow100 weighs in with his post and it escalates. I am not sure anything I have put is as over the top as what is posted above, but we disagree and that's fine.

It's yet another happy clapper thread ignoring the facts in my opinion. I think it's over the top, you'd soon lay into me if I set up an equivalent thread

I haven't said your other posts were over the top, I have said you are over the top and out of order for saying John C's post about it being a fantastic season, if you don't like people criticising your posts !

There's a saying "If you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen" Comprendez ?

I have absolutely no problem with people criticising my posts because I accept it's a forum for opinions. You disagree, thats fine by me. What I do dislike are the insults, that's a different matter.

And what exactly is your last sentence about? Yes I do understand that phrase. That suggests that my point about alternative views not being welcome is right. In other words, you lot will keep throwing in the odd insult just to get me to go away

All this debating about whether it has been a good season/bad season is becoming a little bit tedious now.

But I agree with what John is saying...Yeltz 27 as much as most of us don't agree with you, we have to respect your opinion even if we don't agree. I agree that insults are out of order, after all we all support the team and want the best for the club.

I will say though that it has been a pleasure watching the team this season when I've been able to, and me going to a total of 21 games this season (16 home and 5 away) has made it my most 'productive' in terms of Yeltz games attended in a season since 2002-03!

But most of all I've thoroughly enjoyed making a lot of new friends this season and becoming part of the '#yeltzfamily' which has made it an easier decision to go to The Grove.

See you all next season!

Yeltz27, give it up mate. If people are not even prepared to accept stone wall facts, then your comments on them have no chance. I have to say that I have not spoken to one single person that disagrees with your perfectly reasonable views. It has become evident even on here, with many not bothering to respond to posts because they will only get slated. Maybe we should just leave it to all the new happy clappers and just let them all pat each other and everyone on the back on a daily basis. I love this club, and have done for many a long year, and am the first to show positive support when justified, but no way can I condone this pathetic vilification of people who are only stating the truth about what we all see. If others want to pretend its something different, then that's up to them but don't critisise others that don't. I think you makes yourselves look a little daft.

I for one think the forum is about opinions and it's MUST remain that way as that's what it's for... But this post is clearly looking for an argument... If you don't agree with John C fine but you just did what u don't like others doing... Criticising an opinion. It's over the top to you but obviously not to John but why comment on it?

Like Andy says, it's a complete waste of time. I don't view this thread as being balanced. Let's say one of the more sceptical people set up a thread saying it's been an ok season with a very poor finish for example, they would get hammered for it. Even though the manager has said it himself.

For anybody to post what a great season it has been has to be ignoring a lot of facts. I pointed out the goals scored because if it had been such a stunning season, that wouldn't be a statistic from our season. The defence have generally been excellent and I can't fault them. And just to keep saying could we do better, well no, obviously not. But then I'm not in charge of a team that people are paying 10 pounds to watch every week. Somebody pointed out on Talksport that watching Halesowen Town is actually quite expensive when a season ticket at the Villa is £380 in some cases. I love going to the games, I go to the Villa as well, but if the tickets are that price you would have a right to feel a bit restless after 11 points from 16 games and watching some of the performances this season. There has to be an element of pressure if people are paying money to watch. Being in the performance industry myself, I feel the pressure of people paying to watch me constantly. I have had bad reviews for things but you have to work to sort it. But I do wonder whether the fans constantly protecting the team mean that in fact there is little pressure down at the grove, the 50 pts thing being an example. Maybe a little bit of pressure wouldn't be a bad thing?

It has never been my intention to cause an argument. I reacted badly to BBNOW100 post on Saturday evening because it was uncalled for when I actually hadn't said anything that bad. The #yeltzfamily don't want anybody to post negatively on here in future so it's probably best like Andy says that I don't post again. The FOTG want to increase the attendances and then treat people who disagree with them on here with contempt. It's hardly a good way to encourage new people to come along is it?

I appreciated John Hill's honesty this morning. I wish him every success for next season and hope he gets the chance to make the changes he want over the summer.
