Hi All,
We will be having a number of Mascots for the FC United game, Lucas, Jake and Halesowen Colts U7's.
The below is a bit of information about Lucas, he will be ticking off something from his bucket list. Information going in our programme is below.

The Katie McKerracher Trust
This trust is helping families who care for a loved one with the same condition as Lucas which is called DIPG as they had a daughter who died from this rare brainstem tumor.
This is Lucas McCroft and he is a lovely 8 year old who is diagnosed with a rare Brainstem Tumor called DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma) which is classed as a childhood cancer mainly diagnosed by children between 5 and 10 years old. Unfortunately there is no cure for this rare tumor and operating is not an option, not even a biopsy. Lucas is a little fighter and tries to cope with daily life as good as he can.
As his parents we are very pleased that Halesowen Town wants to give him a chance to lead the players on today so he can cross this off his bucket list and we be able to raise a bit of awareness to this horrible disease.
There will be buckets around the ground to raise money for the Katie McKerracher Trust which is set up by the parents of a little girl called Katie who also was diagnosed with DIPG to help families with financial support and information about DIPG.
On behalf of the Katie McKerracher Trust and Lucas we want to thank everybody who is so kind to donate a little bit of money so they can help even more families who have children and need some support.
