Hope its ok to advertise this on here but its in aid of a gd cause and all donations make a difference.
Myself and a friend of mine will be tackling the London to Paris bike ride in 24 hours this July. We are paying for everything ourselves so all donations go directly to Scope, hopefully £2000 in total.
In September 2013 my nephew was diagnosed with a form of Cerebral Palsy that affects all four of his limbs. After he was diagnosed a representative from Scope would visit his house once a week to help guide/support his parents (my brother (better known as PORKPIE) and sister-in-law) and advise them on different opportunities that would help Harrison continue to grow into the little boy he has become.
Even now Scope continue to contact the family to check how the three of them are doing and if they require more help. We are hoping by doing this ride we can raise awareness of just how much Scope do and how we can all do our bit to help.
We will be keeping an up to date blog of our progress and you will be able to follow our training the whole way and eventually the London to Paris journey at the end.
We will also be doing a raffle in the not so distant future where we have had all sorts of prizes donated, such as gym memberships, hampers and lots of different meals out (Opus, Nandos, the plough etc). Any donation made directly to the just giving website will put you automatically in the draw for these prizes, and then will be selling more tickets nearer the time, around beginning of May time.
If you would like to donate you can click on the link below which will take you directly to the page. Any donation how big or small is appreciated all the same and I thank you for taking the time out to read this.

Re: Charity match
Hi David, I'll pin this post to the top of the forum - please feel free to advertise anything to do with your charity events on here.
Simon or "Porkpie" was a regular down The Grove and on here at one time, and was a great help with some of the events we ran when The Trust was setting up, I particularly remember him reffing matches when we had the "Legends" 5-a-side tournament.
Give him my best regards.
