Super Spartans

After seeing them in the Trophy I could not see that result coming. The magic of the worlds greatest competition strikes again. Congratulations Blythe.

Also might I add, the BBC's commentators mentioned the yeltz when talking about the Spartan's FA Trophy replay ;D

Yes, I heard that too.

Not sure who he was but he said he recently watched Blyth at Halesowen Town. Hope he paid to get in. ;)

Also, did you spot the in the pre-match blurb the listing on screen of Blyth's recent results. We got mentioned there as well. TWICE !!

What with Halesowen getting mentioned on the radio 5Live traffic reports twice this week, it's been a great week publicity-wise for the Planet Halesowen!

Best be careful though, it could become a tourist destination and I'm got sure the town is geared up for that.
We'd need more hotels for a start. ;)

It was following a concerted campaign by Lord Payne of Longmoor to get Junction 3 of the M5 recognised as Halesowen (instead of Kidderminster?) that we started to hear traffic bulletins feature our beloved town.
I can assure you he went to great lengths to achieve this.

Good old Lord Payne of Longmoor , I say.

I did wonder why it had changed over the years to "traffic is backing up to Junction 3 for Halesowen". Thanks, Chas.

This isn't Lord Lawrence Payne by any chance is it??
If it is, I truly did not know of his high standing in British society ;)

What else has he done?? Roads? Sanitation? Electricity? Bl**dy hell. It'll be Christianity next :)
