Last week marked the passing of 21 years since Roger and Dave Turner last missed a competitive match, home or away. Absolutely remarkable. Over 1000 games!!!

That's amazing. Well done to them both. Truly remarkable commitment, worthy of some acknowledgement.

Andy, I think when we were chatting last night, Roger said the last game he missed was the Atherstone away 0-0 draw in the Birmingham Senior Cup on 10th November 1992. That would make his magnificent achievement a run of 1,181 Yeltz matches of which we've won 518, lost 379 & drawn 284. We've scored
1, 904 goals and let in 1,593.
Roger may also claim an extra match which would be the abandoned one down at Chesham when the fog descended and he and Dave were 2 of 4 Yeltz fans there.

Time to raise your bat and lift your cap Roger, a fine innings :)

Talking of abandoned games there's the Chippenham one as well. I also remember in 1992 they were not at Dover on the Thursday night. Lightweights...
That was a nice couple of days driving. Just about got home in time to fill the car up and set off for Bashley!!

Another abandoned game at about the same time was a midweek ?cup match at Bromsgrove. I caught the train up from London but had to wait ages for a taxi from the station to the ground, got there at half time and paid to go in, just in time for the ref to call it off for fog.

Would the Bromsgrove abandoned match be the 1st of these 2 away matches against them?

If so, it's included in the total I gave previously, probably in error.
I'm struggling to find/remember a Chippenham abandonment but the Dover match was when Adam Patrick scored, having played them at home the previous Saturday. That could have been when Richard Massey blasted in a shot that would have landed in Dudley if the net hadn't got in the way.

I assume it must be regarding the home abandonment in the play off semi final at home in April 2008?
