I feel I have to make mention of Wesley Joyce. Now here was/is ??? a player who kicked chunks out of all opposite players for a variety of Worcestershire and Gloucestershire clubs and former Halesowen players and Roger will remember him well particularly when he got sent off at the Grove whilst kicking for Cinderford. Here was/is a player who assaulted referees and I believe he is currently serving a 183 suspension for such an attack whilst playing for Bartley Green Rovers last season. Here was/is a player who has just served a prison term, whether or not for his latest misdemeanour I am not certain.
So why you ask am I going on about the self confessed badboy. Well I'll tell you. Around Christmas time he brought a local newspaper and read about the plight of a mother of two youngsters, who desparately needed a kidney trAnsplant due to renal failure. The NHS had told her that it might take five years to find a donor and in a forlorn hope, she could advertise for a donor in the papers. She did and Wesley, when reading of her plight volunteered to donate one of his kidneys to the complete stranger. The operation takes place tomorrow and when interviewed on H & W radio he said he did it because he was affected by the children saying that this could be their last Christmas with their mom and because he wanted to put the record straight and do something good.
What a hero, surely deserving of Georges eh Westy (biscuitmon).

I agree with you Ken. A bad boy turned good, and may God Bless him. He of course is risking his future health for the sake of others. When its all sorted maybe the club being as good as it is could perhaps invite him, and the fam I ly concerned as a guest for a day?
Praying all goes well for everyone.

A story to warm the heart deserving of more than one George indeed..... O0 O0 O0
