Great history!

What a superb article on the main site. http://www.ht-fc.com/halesowen-town-fir ... yeltz.html

I imagine it was a lot easier to move your car during the match to let the bus through......... :D

We thought the pitch was difficult at the moment........ at least we've got green grass now ;)

Harry Rudge looks exactly the same in this picture as he did in the 1990s.

Was this match also Les Randle's debut?

Does anyone know who the catering team were?

When did the caravan chip shop (no longer in existance) begin?

There's also a picture that I've seen in the past, maybe even from the Hendon match, of the ladies being helped in the tea shop by a teenage Dorothy Adlum, better known to us as the legend that is Dot Harold.

Does anyone have this one?

As a sprog I used to cycle from Grange Road in Old Hill to see Halesowen against the likes of Kiddie and Bromsgrove. At half-time a tall chap ( who I think was deaf and dumb ) and a short fella used to parade the half-time draw around the ground on a placard. Does anyone else remember these two ?

I think That's the pic of Dot I saw last week when I sorted those out that are now the official site, I mentioned it to Dot on Monday night and I'd forgotten her maiden name.
It'll be a few days before I can look for it.

The half- time draw man stiil comes to The Grove, he sits in The Harry Rudge Stand, I think his name is Roger.

Thanks for your quick response Lamper. As I get older I don`t know if my memory plays tricks on me. I once thought Villa had won the European Cup, imagine that !
