Next Season's Squad

Post by piearce9 » 29 Jun 2014, 17:38

As happy as I am to wait for the formal announcements, I was keen to ask whether there'd been any further comings and goings from within the playing squad for next season? How does it work exactly with the players and at what point will we have a clear idea of who's going to be turning out next year?

I know there's been a couple of announcements regarding contracts signed, and one new signing. I did hear though that Penney's gone to Tividale, and wondered if any others are likely to leave?

Seeing as everyone's indulging themselves with speculation elsewhere, anyone want to share the inside info on who's in and out the door?? ???

There are plenty more comings and goings, don't know names, but plenty more on the cards

The reason I say that sometimes pre-season has been used to trial players.

Then it is down to negotiations.

Sometimes some players would move for a couple of quid more.

So until the season starts you do not necessary know the full squad.

Not that I'm enjoying a great deal of progress here, I'll ask a second question nonetheless....

What's the latest on the recovery of Bowen and Brady? I was wondering whether there'd been any suggestion or sign that they'll be involved this year.

You never really know the full squad until the start of the season but as soon as I know some of the signings they will go on the website. I know JH likes to keep his cards close to his chest though understandably.

Shhh don't tell cheque book Hackett at Sourbridge but Lampard is looking to re-locate to the Midlands. Used to playing in blue would not confuse him if playing for us. ;)

To stop any kind of speculation or rumour I can confirm I will not be coming out of retirement for next season or any other season...
