M 6 or M5 ?

When are we likely to know the outcome of the F.A. leagues committee meeting to discuss matters arising from Worksop's resignation ,that might change our destination. I thought the meeting took place on either Saturday or Sunday and the decision would be public the following day. Or have I missed something ?

That announcement on the Non League Show that matters would be sorted out within 24 hours (or words to roughly that effect) came before Worksop tried to rescind their resignation from the NPL, which has muddied the waters somewhat. I suspect the powers-that-be at the FA and the NPL are still trying to sort that out - the past weekend having been a Bank Holiday probably hasn't helped speed things up.
The Sports Editor of the Worksop local paper tweeted earlier today that a verdict is anticipated "today or tomorrow."
Elsewhere it's been reported that Ware have been formally told that they are moving back from the SL to the IL as a result of Wingate & Finchley being reprieved, which suggests Worksop have been told to get stuffed. But that has not been officially announced anywhere so may be premature.

If Worksop do get told to get stuffed, I can't see any other outcome for us than travelling up the M6. Is it possible that Stour could be swapped with Corby if we go to the north? Or will we have to cancel the number nine derby?

I am 100% convinced you will/would go back North. I would say it's 50/50 then that they would swap us and Corby on the basis of buggering about as few clubs as possible.

I believe there was a supporters meeting at Workshop tonight, and whilst we obviously want to know where we'll be playing our football next season let's hope Workshop have a football club next season too, but agree a decision needs to be made sooner rather than later, especially if we're heading M6

Thankyou for your input again Mr Reasonable Man.
I think you should drop the "able" , if you know what I mean, and become "the Man of Reason"

"With the plea in to the NPL and FA all Worksop can do is now wait and hope the NPL make the correct decision and keep WTFC in the NPL. We are have very good long standing NPL team with a decent home and away support. Mistakes were made by individuals who thought it was best for the club, who quickly realised after talking with fans it was the wrong decision. Tonight 150 fans gathered for a meeting to discuss the future and the future is bright. What tonight has shown is a strong fans unity with a fantastic manager. Ideas that are put in place to stop the worlds 4th oldest football club going under but the nail could be put in this coffin should it get turned down. Let's hope like Rainworth they do the right thing and accept us back in"
This is a posting late last night on Facebook by a Worksop fan.

Still all up in the air this morning.
There's a combination of reasoned debate and speculation here -
http://www.nonleaguematters.co.uk/forum ... t=12876358 and it seems to pull together most of the stuff TRM mentions.
Worksop's version of Matt Maher - @GrahamSmyth - seems to have his finger on the pulse as much as anyone if you do the Twitter thing.
As has been stated elsewhere, regardless of where we end up, let's hope Worksop do OK.
Now, back to my voodoo doll of Den Strudwick...

I wore out my Bill Dellow one.
Actually, unfair on both chaps I'm sure. It's not a job I'd fancy.
I'm just hacked off that we moved South when I live in Yorkshire. And the suspense of whether or not we will revert North is killing me...
