Last Game - Yeltz Youth v Kiddy Youth

Post by manager73 » 21 Apr 2014, 10:38

Halesowen v Kiddy 7.45 Ko

£2.50 & £1.00

Get down to the Grove tonight & support the lads in our last game for the club.

I would like to thank everyone who has helped us over the last 3 years It's been an improvement every year, after winning the league 1st season & playing Hereford in the 1st round of the FA Youth Cup to finishing mid table in the Premier league last year to a possible 2nd place finish in the Prem this year if we beat Kiddy tonight, so there is all to play for, It's been a good 3 years.

Over the last 3 years we have had several players involved with the 1st team, as in, Jean Michel, Spenser Blackham, Joe Drake, Matty Fulloway (On Loan at Bilston) Shane Grainger, Danny Waldron & Colin Smith.
Not bad for kids!

So, all make an effort to cheers the lads in their last game

Many thanks to our Youth Team for the last 3 seasons. There have been some great matches and to see the young players develop has been a pleasure.

Why is there not going to be a youth team next season?

Should this not be a place for young local talent to receive training and coaching for progression into the first team?

Sad to learn the youth team will cease.

If the costs are prohibitive at this moment in time then so be it.

John Hill seems to have a good source of players and scouting system.
