Thank you...
Tuesday night at Sheffield was my final game of the season (hopefully) as unfortunately I can't make the next two Saturday's due to attending a stag do and then a wedding the week after. (Abysmal planning)
I can't begin to tell you how much I've enjoyed coming down to Halesowen this season, of course the fact we've been up and around the top of the table as helped massively but I've become well and truly hooked. When I first started coming to Halesowen I'd often have half an ear on the going's on at Villa Park, nowadays I can't even tell you who they're playing next whilst I'll know the next 3/4 Yeltz games off the top of my head. I've met some great people too at Halesowen, both young and old who are all equally as passionate about this club. I started coming to the games on my own, but feel lucky to have chatted with so many of you about the goings on of now, and from years gone by and feel firmly part of the Yeltz family.
It's going to hurt like hell not being there to cheer on the boys in the next two games, but I know my phone will be kept busy with texts! For those going -make sure you yell those lads to victory!
If any of the players or management team are reading this, I'd like to thank them too for their efforts this season, the pride in which their wear OUR shirt is brilliant to see, typified by the goal celebrations at Loughborough and Sheffield in midweek. I wish them luck for the next two games and if there is any justice we'll be Champions, nobody could have done any more. If we have to go the other route then so be it, let's see it as yet another challenge. Thanks also to many of the management committee who put in hours of time for the love of the club, should we get promoted you deserve it as much as any.
Irrespective of the outcome, my season ticket is already planned for next season...
Up the Yeltz!

Well AVFC, I think I speak on behalf of all Yeltzmen when I say that we are glad you made the change. Your enthusiasm has been like a beacon illuminating the forum with your opinions and reports for which I thank you. If we do not see you at the play-offs,and I hope with don't of course, then I look forward to meeting up in the close season at some of the planned events.

Always a pleasure to be in your company at The Grove, Rob.
Your insight into the finer points of tactics et al puts my basic concepts of how a game is going to shame.
Like you I used to follow events in B6 avidly but, having sampled the repartee ( p**s taking) and general friendliness at Yeltz games over the years, I couldn't care less about the "pink and baby blue" mercenaries - well, maybe a little bit!
Enjoy your social events and at worst I'll see you behind the dugout in the playoffs.

Fully agree with AV. Couldn't have put it better my self. My first full season as well and the friendly atmosphere is second to none. Met some great friends, if a little weird.
Can't wait for next season already, whatever league we're in.
Having a winning team helps but this season has been more than just watching a good side. This set of players play the game how I love to see it played. Fully committed, a love for the game and a love for the club. I just love watching this team. It's a real pleasure.
Again like AV, season ticket all but purchased.
Thank you all for being welcoming!

Re: Thank you...
Rob am gutted for you that you can't be at Carlton and Belper, you are one of the vocals at away games though you are a stubborn so and so for not standing in the shed at home games !
The amount you have took on for the club, facebook, twitter, raffles etc and you have only been an active fan for 1 season is brilliant, and will hopefully rub off on many more of our fans.
I will be one of many updating you and if you want I will give you a ring when your free to give you a more blow by blow account of what's happened especially at Belper, either way keep in touch over the summer mate and keep that passion for the club burning, it's really great to see.

Hopefully things will go in our favour AVFC in your absence. Thank you for your posts on here this season, I have enjoyed reading them (you evidently have a good understanding of the game!) and look forward to reading more of the same next season and beyond!

Wont be at Carlton either Rob, but who on earth am i going to rely on at Belper to hold my camera if nature calls????
Been a pleasure to meet you, and certainly been one of the more vocal fans.
I'll say i'll see you again next season rather than in the play-offs

As long as you don't mind our players rears and legs Sarah will hold the camera.wednesburystokie wrote: who on earth am i going to rely on at Belper to hold my camera if nature calls????

Rob since our meeting for Romulus I can really say we have had a great laugh onto, at and returning from away games. Thanks for the company.
Same is true of Raiden and slightly later Mrs Raiden.
Looking forward to a glass or two of your favourite Enville at the James Grove bar end of season bash as Champions.
