Halesowen Town FC will be running a golf day on Sunday 18th May 2014. This will take place at Halesowen Golf Club.

The cost will be £38 per player but for this you will get the following,
- Breakfast Rolls/Coffee on arrival,
- 18 Holes Golf
- followed by 2 Course Presentation dinner.

There will be many prizes on offer during the day,
- Stableford 1st, 2nd, 3rd Prize
- Longest Drive
- Nearest the Pin
- Nearest the Pin in 2

I will be taking money and entries up until the closing date on Monday 5th May 2014. If you are interested in playing then call me on 07834414445 or email at pauljguest@gmail.com

This event is being organised in association with the WBA Supporters Golf Society who have been going over 8 years now and raised thousands for various charities. Money raised from this event will be split between the Football Club and Golf Society.

We hope to make this an annual fixture and with the Golf Society regularly having 25 members at events there is no reason why we couldn't get 50 at this event.

So some of my money goes to an Albion Supporters Association?

Let me think about this...

Is there not enough interest to do our own Golf Day?

There's a few reasons behind this,

- Im the only one that has expressed an interest in organizing an event like this and dont want to arrange it on my own, it would be a logistical nightmare. Especially with the amount I do at the moment for the football club and at home.

- I was treasurer for Supporters golf society for a number of years and they are run very well and also very good friends of mine.

- They will probably get more golfers than us, hence raise more funds for the football club than we could on our own.

- You need a minimum of 25 players to use Halesowen Golf Club I believe for a society day and I doubt we would get that on our own. Trying to support a local business.

If money raised goes to charity and HTFC I'll play if i'm free. I haven't played for about 12 months so it'll be nice to get the clubs out again!

Cancelled event.

Community day the day before which has meant people reluctant to sign up as I can understand.

This simply isn't true. I think people were scared of me winning. ;-)
