I think it is going to go right to the wire. I have no hesitation in saying I know this bunch of players will 'give it everything' and I know the managements expectation is no less than to 'give it everything'. My fear isn't really at Halesowen but elsewhere. Some clubs will maybe go out and strengthen significantly whilst we can't do the same.
I suppose the more of us that turn up every week the more it will help the finances of the club. The more of us that put a few quid behind the bar, again the more it will help John Hill to improve the team. Money of course doesn't always guarantee success and attitude, discipline and desire are equally as important. We certainly can't say anyone at Halesowen isn't showing a lack of those attributes.
The one thing I haven't mentioned is ability. This team has learnt to win ugly if need be, with Ben back and Laity not far away we have a SQUAD of players with ability. If we can stay clear of injuries and suspensions we'll be even better placed to push on!
Positivity is the key, and supporting the lads when things aren't going well is going to be more important than when we win. I'd love to see everyone congregate in the shed by the tunnel at the end of the game to applaud the lads off, win, lose or draw because they're giving everything!

It most certainly is in our hands! The last couple of weeks have been very kind to us inasmuch as the disparity in games played has been reduced with no significant gains for our immediate rivals.
We just have to keep winning and we cannot be caught. Of course I accept that this probably won't happen, but the others in contention are also almost certainly going to drop points along the way.
AVFCYeltz has summed the situation up in the proverbial nutshell - we may not have the same financial clout as other clubs, but no team has more determination to see a game through to the end than ours. As supporters we should give them - and John Hill and all the backroom staff - every credit for achieving what seemed a pipe dream at the start of the campaign.
In addition our thanks should go to those behind the scenes who have put their money into the club. A top of the table finish and automatic promotion would be a fantastic reward for them as much as it will be for us, "the faithful."
Yes, we can and will do it!

Bookies are seldom wrong are they;
(To win the league outright)
Coalville - 11/8
Halesowen - 9/4
Leek - 5/2
Belper - 6-1
I don't discount Belper at all and may be worth a cheeky fiva (for an outsider of course).

I put my money where my mouth is a few weeks back, I believe we'll win this league and should we do so, it'll net me £70!
I am under no illusions that we're over achieving in relation to budget, but we're in a great spot right now with Leek at home to come, Coalville away (snap your hand off for a point) and Belper twice.
The couple of away games that have now backed up is a concern, but looking at the end of February / whole of March we'll have 5 home games from the 6 matches in that period that we're currently scheduled to play. Win those 5 home games (no easy task) and we should (hopefully) be in a fantastic position for the remaining 5 games of the season, or 7 depending when Sheffield and Market Drayton are re-scheduled.
If we keep our squad and in particular keep Ben and Christie fully fit then I see no reason why we can't maintain the top spot.
We've got a very solid defence and centre back pairing in Hull and Tilt, we are very good at keeping clean sheets.
Defence, people, wins titles. Always has done and always will do.

I disagree it is not in our hands.
Unless your Pearson or Sargent but in our feet :-)
Lets keep doing our small bit by getting behind the team home and away no matter what that result is.

I think the bookies only put them favourites because they beat us 3-0 on our own patch, I still think we will do it, am certainly getting a good go for my money, had £10 at 16/1 with betway that we would win the league, come on boys !

Its going to be very tight, and it will be the ultimate achievement if we win the league because we've got a mountain to climb. We may have taken the lead climbing this massive mountain, but we need to maintain our pace or we'll fall behind, so it's a big, big challenge, but I believe we have a great bunch of lads who really can go for this. COME ON THE YELTZ!!!
