Open Forum...my opinion

Having typed up those comments I decided not to give my own opinion along the way as I think it only fair people make up their own minds.
Two things from the evening really struck me though. I've never spoken to Colin or John before and only briefly chatted with Trevor, but the passion that these guys have was unbelieveable. When they were speaking apart from the murmurings of the young child in the room, it was silent. They had the audience in the palm of their hand. As football supporters I guess we can often only really hear the things we want to listen to but from the first minute to the last we listened intently to their words. Now if a cynical bunch of football fans were completely enthralled by what they were saying I can see why the players in the changing rooms feel they can run through walls for the club.
Listening to Steve speak of his desires to move the club forwards really was superb to hear, they truly are all singing from the same hymn sheet. Both Joe Hull and Trevor talked fondly of the increased number of supporters home and away and how WE lift them, and inspire them to perform better.
On Tuesday night I felt incredibly proud to be associated with Halesowen Town as a supporter, whether this team does get us promoted or not it certainly won't be anything to do with lack of effort whether that be from the players, the management or committee. I think we as fans need to continue to do our bit by turning up in good numbers home and away, cheers the lads off the pitch win, lose or draw (if they've given their all) and get that bar full before and after the game as the money generated will help the gaffer!
Maybe we should start a ritual of all fans at the end of the game making their way to the tunnel area to applaud the boys off the pitch?
Up the Yeltz!
