I'm sadly here to tell you the out come of my injury as informed today i would never play football again, this due to severe knee damage and this is going to need intense reconstruction or replacement this does depend on the state of my tibia as they are unsure what is wrong with this i would just like to thank all clubs i've played for and there fans but most of all the Halesowen staff all through out the club and most importantly the brilliant fans at the grove this is my home town club and this is the memory i wanted to end my career at my home town club
Thank you for everybodys support
p.s looks like i'm going to need help with my op as well thankyou once again .

Absolutely gutted for you Gav.

Really enjoyed your time in a Yeltz shirt, loved the fact you gave 100% for the cause whenever you played and you'll be a big miss for us. If ever the lads had a reason to get promotion then you must be it.

I really hope that the op and recovery goes well for you and that it doesn't affect your life outside of the game too much. Also don't be a stranger down at the Grove. Once a Yeltzman, always a Yeltzman.

Gavin,
I'm sure that all Yeltz fans will be sorry to read your bad news. :(
You always gave it your all - and never gave up the fight.
I hope that your injury rights itself and you have no lasting effects - health is everything. Good luck - and thank you!

Honestly gutted to hear that your career is over. Best of luck for you, although you may not be able to recover to play football but best wishes for your overall recovery. You'll be missed here at The Grove :( :'(

If you can show the same desire off the pitch as you did on it i'm sure you'll still be a great asset to Halesowen Town in another capacity. As mentioned above, hopefully there will be no long term damage and your overall health will be good. Thanks for all your efforts Gavin.

28 appearances and 3 goals. You always gave 100%. Thank you.

A shame and I hope you get the medical help you require.

Best wishes to you and your family for the future.

Very sad news, you are a committed player and a top bloke, I hope that's not the last for you involving football, all the best Gav and hope we see you around the place as you are Yeltz through and through.
