LLL , I've got it in my mind that we also beat another side either a League side or somebody like Oldbury United in a cup game at the Grove and it was well previous to any of the other matches mentioned. But I have very occasionally been known to be wrong, but not often.

I'm also pretty sure I've a 100% attendance record at all our penalty shoot outs........ so hopefully I haven't missed any off
Does this make you a 'Yeltz Penalty Shoot-Out Completist', Matthew?
I have all Factory Records ever issued.

The main thing that this thread has reminded me of, is that I really hate Tamworth.

You needed reminding ?
They were on Midlands Today last week , FA Cup giant killers, now full - time, I'm going to be sick....nearly rival Gasboys?
But we remember Richard Heath in the Vase?
I feel better now

As the thread mentions Tamworth and is based on reminiscing, does anyone remember the current Tamworth manager Dale Belford playing for Atherstone down The Grove?
I remember he used to have long hair in a ponytail, enjoyed clowning around with the fans behind the goal for the full 90 mins, and had such a deep commitment to entertaining that he would concede at least five or six every game.
I have to say (sorry, Doc) that I was quite pleased to see him doing well...as a manager

And to tie it into another thread, I believe his son plays in goal for them now.
