I am hearing Paul is on his way...Captain at the start if the season, part of the second best defence of the league, previous player of the season but now effectively "training with the kids". He isn't injured, he has been bombed out and it is shoddy behaviour by the manager. You can't knock the way the team is performing this year but if improvements can be made, the keeper wasn't the position that needed attention. A successful team should not be achieved at the expense of treating people poorly.

Now now children, put your toys back in the pram.......
Sad if this is true, he certainly has been a great asset to the team over the past three seasons. He may not have been the most vocal of people, which possibly could have been his only fault within the current set up, but he certainly produced some exceptional saves over the course of that time and was certainly a club man.
Manager's are paid to make these decisions no matter how unpopular they are, he knows what he wants from his team and will be judged by these changes. Thankfully none of us are close to being involved in the first team coaching set up!!!!!!

Agreed; best of the keepers from the games I've seen

Paul played for AFC Wulfrunians on Tuesday and will also play in their massive FA Vase game on Sunday against AFC Rushden and Diamonds.

Good luck to him in where ever he plays.
A legend for the way he stayed loyal when Coleman dropped in and he worked in the work parties to paint the dressing rooms etc. How many players would do that?

My sentiments exactly.
Got talking to him when he turned up for the Kidsgrove game (5th) even though he was dropped.
Top, top bloke.

Has there been any update on the goalkeeper situation?
As Sam Pearson played for AFC Wulfrunians this week

I'm happy to trust the gaffers judgement on this one. If Evo and Sam can get games in the meantime at a good club like AFC Wulfrunians then it's a win - win situation.
I know Evo has been a loyal servant to the club and is a top lad but the gaffer has to make decisions, sometimes unpopular ones for the benefitbof the club.

Personally I prefer Evo in goal. I like Sergeant well enough but he seems to go for the punch away a bit too much whereas Paul doesn't really mess around. Although Evans is personally my favorite keeper and I feel more comfortable with him between the sticks, so sorry if I sound a little biased
