Re: Colin Brookes Interview on Talksport
I , like the Lamper, do not listen to Colin Murray and in fact stopped watching Match of the Day 2 because of him. I have listened to our Colin this morning and have to say that the manner in which the studio occupants conducted the interview was totally moronic and I sympathise with Colin and feel it did HTFC lttle justice. However as the saying goes "there is no such thing as bad publicity."

Right on KenR!
Great to hear Colin & The Yeltz on national radio, reward to Guesty for his efforts, but am not encouraged at all to listen to that station.
The last time I can remember listening to it was when the FA decision was announced on Suarez while he was at West Ham. Alvin Martin (biased or what?!!) was in the studio justifying it. I was sitting in my car outside Taunton cricket ground at the time, I soon cut Alvin off and went to calm down watching the mighty Pears
Haven't turned the station on since apart from 5.30pm commentaries when returning Yeltz away games.

Yeltzins - in the good old fanzine days, several spent many an hour trying to compile articles that would relate us to Boris but failed to do so.

If I remember correctly we had a couple of letters from Boris to the fanzine. A nice man, liked a drink.Laurel Lane Lamper wrote:Yeltzins - in the good old fanzine days, several spent many an hour trying to compile articles that would relate us to Boris but failed to do so.

Trying to find a positive out of this, we will be in the minds of TalkSport for as long as we are in this year's competition so there is the potential to learn from the experience.
I think Colin did as well as could be expected in the circumstances, it probably wasn't an easy few minutes for him.

Re: Colin Brookes Interview on Talksport
Yes you're correct, please forgive my now not so reliable memory.
Others may similarly wish to correct or add to what is to follow:
Thinking about our original fanzine, Follow Your Instinct, our newer/younger fans may like to know that at one stage, as well as being a literary classic, it was a production miracle.
They were the days before e-mails, texts, Windows - although beneath a window there surely was another one. Here I'll digress but, no fault at all implied to Colin Brookes, the chance was lost to enlighten Mr. Murray this morning when Yeltz songs were discussed and about A Bright Golden Haze. I guess he wouldn't appreciate anyway.
Anyhow back on the main theme, the co-editors/producers lived at separate ends of the country - Plymouth & Edinburgh (?) - but still achieved a regular issue of the fanzine. A noble achievement indeed in the Yeltz cause.
