Songs for the yeltz

Post by beastyyeltz » 27 Aug 2013, 17:03

Seeing that my last thread had got a few people talking about getting the atmosphere going at our next home game, why don't we create ourselves a few new songs? My mate aka BB come up with this one

A little bit of Evo in our lives,
A little bit of Laity down the sides,
A little bit of Gueyes with his speed,
A little bit of Griffiths is what we need

A little bit of Haseley with his class,
A little bit of Mackenzie with his pass,
A little bit of Meacham in defence,
A little bit of John Hill he's immense!

Any more?

Blue is the color
Football is the game
We're all together
And winning is our aim
So cheer us on
Through the sun and rain
Cos Halesowen
Halesowen is our name

Here at The Grove
Whether rain or fine
We can shine all the time
Home or away
Come and see us play
You're welcome any day

Blue is the color
Football is the game
We're all together
And winning is our aim
So cheer us on
Through the sun and rain
Cos Halesowen
Halesowen is our name!

It's The Window Song (2009 remix) for me....

....Beneath that invoice, there's another invoice

Not sure either version has any relevance to the Yeltz and certainly not the current regime.

Good try by Beasty and BB with new ones but the songs chants need to be simple, short and repetitive so the ageing (me!) can remember. ;)

I agree with John as I have trouble spelling "I'm Y-E-L-T-Z, I'm Y-E-L-T-Z, I know I am I'm sure I am, I'm Y-E-L-T-Z"
:P

Not to be resurrected for financial reasons, but because of the sheer volume and togetherness generated on that night at Nuneaton and at the "away" match at The Grove.
In any case, I can't be sure to remember the words anyway

He dives to the left,
he dives to the right,
that boy Evo makes Joe Hart look shite.

Ohhhh Kristian Green's our full back,
He wears the number 2,
He used to play for Gornal,
But they were just too poo,
But now he's at Halesowen
He plays with skill and pace,
The lads from out the shed end, think he's bloody ace!

An excellent one that had Crooky Jr. in stitches:

"Meat pie
Sausage roll
Come on Halesowen
Give us a goal"
