Me and my friend have come up with the idea of bringing a drum down to the grove, start singing and lift the atmosphere a bit. We were inspired by Sutton's band last Tuesday (We thought we could do better than them ) and the fact that a few games last season we did have a bit of singing in the shed which was enjoyable and according to JH it had lifted the players too.

If we get a good group of people singing then we can get a feel-good atmosphere at the Grove and also lift the players on the pitch and make it both intimidating and a bit of a laugh for the away team/fans(with the banter and all that). I was just wondering if you would sing a long with us as well because it would pointless if we brought the drum and nobody sings along. So what do you think? Remember this is just an idea.

I'm not so sure about a drum, but I like the idea of getting a bit of atmosphere going. It probably needs all of those willing to have a sing-a-long to be standing in the same place. I propose right behind the away dug out as their manager/coach starts to yell instructions ;-)

Hmm good point but I'd rather be in the shed as the low roof is good for the atmosphere and it gets busy in the second half

I Don't think either is a bad idea, i know drums are sometimes annoying but used at the right time it might be better than bashing the shed and ad boards to pieces??

And i still think we should have some kind of entrance music?

Some great ideas, sandstorm by darude would be a good one, makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up when playing poker online and listening to it. Fires me up.

The drum is well worth a go in my opinion, though second half am always in the shed (and 1st if its raining bad)

I was thinking of doing it in the shed, I've noticed everybody stands there in the second half. And yeah Darude would be good or Right here right now by Fat boy slim or Insomnia by Faithless.

I think it would be great if each of the players had a 'song' as well.

i imagined it would just be `banging a drum` didnt know we had the skills out there to a actually `do songs`
(i can see it now, for sale in club shop `now thats what i call shed music`...better in the shed if your going to do `covers`)
